Holiday Art Shows!

November and December are packed with great arty events! I am so happy to be participating in the following exhibits. If you are in Ottawa, check these out.  Fun times with amazing art by local artists and at great prices too!









1. OAG Winter Delights Holiday Exhibit
November 10, 2012 - January 19, 2012
Opening Reception: Nov. 28, 6-9pm
Ottawa Art Gallery Art Rental and Sales: 2 Daly Ave.

This group exhibit includes many local artists and a variety of mediums such as photographs, paintings, drawings, sculptures, jewellery and textiles. All pieces are original and priced at $400.00 or less. Drop by if you are at the Rideau Centre, we're across the street! (Daly at Nicolas)





2. Holiday Fundraising Art Sale
November 29, 2012 - December 19, 2012
Opening Reception: November. 29,  5 - 8 pm.
Ottawa School of Art Main Gallery: 35 George St.

Come celebrate the Ottawa School of Art's 28th Annual Holiday Fundraiser Art Sale.  Proceeds support local artists and the Ottawa School of Art.

3. 101 UNFRAMED—29 FOREVER
December 1, 2012: 6:30pm—midnight (silent auction: 7—10pm)
EBA: 951 Gladstone Avenue (Super cool location!!)
Tickets: $10 at the door 19+

Gallery 101 host's their annual fundraiser, a highly respected and anticipated event, revamped as 101 UNFRAMED. Enjoy a night of arts and culture, and food and wine, which showcases the talent of Ottawa’s arts community and also supports G101, a local, non-profit artist-run centre. Proceeds from the auction help Gallery 101 maintain its services to artists and the community. To celebrate World AIDS Day and A Day With(out) Art, representatives from Bruce House will be accepting donations for their ongoing support and care of People Living With/Affected by HIV/AIDS in the Ottawa area.  www.g101.ca




4. Holiday Sweat-ER - Cyclelogik's 5th Annual Holiday Art Show
December 7, 2012 - January, 2012



Opening Reception: December 7 at 8:00 pm
Cyclelogik: 1111 Wellington St. West.  8pm
One of the most highly anticipated holiday art shows of the season is back for its 5th year!
Food, music, art, antics, and the work of over 40 artists for sale !


5. And also as noted in my November post, Figureworks will be open until December 2nd.  I highly recommend seeing this show.  The quality of art is breathtaking and I am amazed I got into this show.

Glad to know about these art shows. Hope they went well. My sister organized an art exhibition at one of the stylish Chicago event space last month. Venue was beautifully decorated with crystal vases and purple flowers.
