Hey look! I will be participating in 3 art events coming up this month! You should come check them out! Yay! See below :)

1. Figureworks 2012

Saint Brigid's Centre for the Arts: 310 Patrick Street (entrance on Cumberland), Ottawa 

Vernissage/Opening: November 20th, 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Award Ceremony will start at 7:30 pm

Exhibition is on display between: November 20th – December 2nd

2. Small Medium Large Fundraiser – one night only – order your art to go! 

Ottawa School of Art Main Gallery: 35 George Street, Ottawa

November 23rd, 6:00 pm

Ticket price: Advanced tickets: $10 purchase at the Ottawa School of Art, or 12$ at the door.

3. Winter Delights Holiday Exhibit (in conjunction with the Ottawa Art Gallery’s “Hats off” party)

Nuit Blanche Ottawa 2012! This Saturday!

Ottawa is having its first Nuit Blanche this year! I will be popping up a gallery in front of the Ottawa School of Art with Lemonjellow Productions.

Inspired by the creative artistry and imagination of pop-up books, we are presenting a “pop-up gallery.”  Pre-constructed from recycled materials, this temporary gallery is mobile in the sense that we can “pop it up” anywhere in the city.  Our aim is to provide a space where anyone can contribute to this gallery on the spot.  The idea is to foster a communal spirit of sharing, interaction, and support from the ground up.  In essence anyone who wants to be, will become an artist participating in Nuit Blanche!

When: September 22, 6:22 pm - 4:22am

Where are we located?  35 George Street, in front of the Ottawa School of Art in the Byward Market

I will also have original prints on display at La Nouvelle Scene, a lovely french theatre on 333 King Edward Ave. as part of their Nuit Blanche installation with the Ottawa-Gatineau Printmakers.  

"Kicking it back" Beach Bash

This weekend I will be participating in the "Kicking it back" Beach Bash! event. I'll be setting up with other great artists, works will be for sale at affordable prices!  Live musical acts, an amazing variety of art, and hey! there's going to be a raffle!  Come out and support local music and local art, a great way to celebrate the remainder of our Summer - at the beach! (Click poster to see what else to expect)

When? This Saturday, August 25th
Time: Noon - 11pm.  (I will be showing art during the afternoon show - see poster)
Where? Westboro Beach (Kitchissippi Lookout)

The Gallery is closed on Sundays & Civic Monday, with the exception of special events

Print Exhibition

Hey! I have been helping out in organizing a print exhibit at Orange Art Gallery that will be opening next week!  Sixteen local printmakers will be showing a variety of original prints.  I will be showing some new prints, hope you can come check out the works.  Here are the details:

Opening Night:
Thursday July 19th from 6-10pm

The exhibit will be on display from July 18th - July 29th.
Free Admission.  You are more than welcome to purchase some art;)

Beechwood Art in the Parking Lot!

Next Saturday I will be participating and helping out at the Beechwood Art in the Parking lot! The Pavement will be painted and plants will be placed all around!

Live music, art, kid fun, food and your neighbours await you at the parking lot by Arturo’s, Second Cup and Fraser Cafe.  I hope you can come and support this community event! Saturday June 23, 2012.  10am – 3pm

Bloomin’ Art Party and Sale: June 9 & 10

Lemonjellow productions is having another art show coming up soon!  In Lemonjellow fashion, we will be converting a house into an indoor/outdoor (weather permitting) gallery space in the new art hub of Ottawa, Westboro!  These are exciting times for this art collective, of which I am happy to be a part of.  I hope you can make it and celebrate art in bloom with us:

Lemonjellow’s next show is Bloomin’ Art in Westboro during Westfest! Drop by our garden art pARTy and sale and check out the happenings at Westfest. We’ll have a bouquet of artists showing their wares, playing live music, and making live art. There will be home-made goodies to munch on too! 
Drop by, have some lemonade, and flower us with your love!
