Gallery 101 host's their annual fundraiser, a highly respected and anticipated event, revamped as 101 UNFRAMED. Enjoy a night of arts and culture, and food and wine, which showcases the talent of Ottawa’s arts community and also supports G101, a local, non-profit artist-run centre. Proceeds from the auction help Gallery 101 maintain its services to artists and the community. Post-Nuit Blanche 2012

Phew! It's been a couple days since Ottawa's first all-night art event - Nuit Blanche - and I had a blast! There were over 6000 people that passed by our installation and well over 600 people partook in our photo-booth.  Our pop-up gallery ended up being jam packed with drawings, notes, and signatures.  The overall result was a-maz-ing!  Thank-you everyone who paid us a visit.  To those who danced with us, talked with us, took pictures with us, and made art with us!  Also our lovely volunteers and organizers of this city-wide event - THANK-YOU!  What a success!

"Kicking it back" Beach Bash

This weekend I will be participating in the "Kicking it back" Beach Bash! event. I'll be setting up with other great artists, works will be for sale at affordable prices!  Live musical acts, an amazing variety of art, and hey! there's going to be a raffle!  Come out and support local music and local art, a great way to celebrate the remainder of our Summer - at the beach! Instructors' Exhibition

I will be in the Ottawa School of Art Orleans instructors' Exhibition. Opening is this coming Thursday, 6-8pm, free admission :D  This show will be up until August 2nd.

Print Exhibition

Hey! I have been helping out in organizing a print exhibit at Orange Art Gallery that will be opening next week!  Sixteen local printmakers will be showing a variety of original prints.  I will be showing some new prints, hope you can come check out the works.  Here are the details:

Beechwood Art in the Parking Lot!

Next Saturday I will be participating and helping out at the Beechwood Art in the Parking lot! The Pavement will be painted and plants will be placed all around!

Bloomin’ Art Party and Sale: June 9 & 10

Lemonjellow productions is having another art show coming up soon!  In Lemonjellow fashion, we will be converting a house into an indoor/outdoor (weather permitting) gallery space in the new art hub of Ottawa, Westboro!  These are exciting times for this art collective, of which I am happy to be a part of.  I hope you can make it and celebrate art in bloom with us:

The opening reception took place last Thursday, April 12th at the OSA Gallery: 35 George Street, Ottawa, Ontario.  The exhibit will be on display until May 20th.

4th International Miniature Print Biennale Exhibition

I will have a print on display in this exhibit.  I got a sneak peak with the gallerist last night and the show looks amazing!  The opening reception is tomorrow night, from 5pm to 8pm.  Admission is free, come see beautiful art submitted from local, national, and international artists!

Lemon Jellow Productions Holiday Event Starts Tomorrow!

This year I started working with a fantastic arts collective called Lemon Jellow Productions.  Our next event is "Deck the halls with ART from Lemon Jellow." Back to back parties from 8pm ’til midnight on Friday (tomorrow!), December 9 & Saturday, December 10. Come for caffeine and cookies on Sunday from noon to 5 pm. Location: 25 Charlevoix St. Ottawa

This pARTy is a two for one deal. You get to knock off a few names from your shopping list plus you get to share some Xmas cheer with a bunch of folks. A DJ will be spinning some toe tapping tunes and our mystery re-gifting table will raise some dough for Pink Triangle YOuth.

Lemonjellow pARTies are wicked networking gigs too so who knows what opportunities may slip if you give it a miss.  Julie’s rounded up a bevy of artists who are keen on beautifying your walls and those of your loved ones this holiday season.
